How It Works:

Every 60 seconds, Wally fetches live market data from Aster's WebSocket feeds, including real-time order book depth, mark prices, funding rates, and 24-hour volume statistics. The system analyzes this data by calculating technical indicators like RSI (Relative Strength Index), MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence), and EMA (Exponential Moving Averages) to identify profitable trading opportunities. When market conditions meet predefined criteria—such as strong momentum signals, favorable risk-reward ratios, and sufficient liquidity—Wally automatically generates a trading decision.

Trade Execution:

Once a high-confidence signal is detected (typically above 70% confidence threshold), Wally uses Aster's authenticated REST API to execute trades. The system sends HMAC SHA256-signed requests to open positions with precise entry prices, stop-loss levels, and take-profit targets. All trades are logged to a Supabase database for real-time monitoring and performance tracking. Position updates occur every 5 seconds, automatically closing trades when they hit profit targets (+5%), stop losses (-5%), or time-based exit conditions.

Risk Management:

Wally employs strict risk controls, limiting each trade to a maximum of 2% account risk with dynamic position sizing based on market volatility. The system continuously monitors margin requirements, liquidation thresholds, and total portfolio exposure to prevent catastrophic losses. By leveraging fast AI inference and low latency, the bot can react instantly to market movements while maintaining cost-efficient continuous operation.
